Schwarzenegger's swan song against children and families
Signs pro-LGBTQ counseling with no parent consent, virtual pot legalization
Sacramento, California -- SaveCalifornia.com, a leading pro-family, pro-child organization, is saddened and greatly concerned for children that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, in his last week of bill signing in his final term in office, has chosen to damage family values and endanger impressionable boys and girls.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Schwarzenegger signed:
• SB 543 by San Francisco Democrat State Senator Mark Leno to allow kindergarten through high school students at government schools to be taken off-campus for counseling sessions, without parental permission or involvement.
"Homosexual activists are very happy, because this will result in students who have been molested or otherwise sexually confused being told the unscientific falsehood that they were 'born gay,' and then being trained to become homosexual activists themselves," SaveCalifornia.com President Randy Thomasson said. "This is more reason than ever for concerned parents to rescue their children from government school indoctrination by enrolling them in home school or a solid church school. Visit RescueYourChild.com to learn how."
• SB 1449, again by San Francisco Democrat State Senator Mark Leno, will reduce marijuana possession to an infraction, with no arrest, no booking, no court appearance, and no offer of drug rehab.
"This virtual legalization of marijuana definitely sends the wrong message to teenagers and young adults," Thomasson said. "It invites youth to become addicted to mind-altering pot because there's not much hassle and no public stigma and no rehab if they're caught. Californians opposed to Prop. 19's full-blown marijuana legalization must redouble their efforts through MarijuanaHarmsFamilies.com."
"While we're glad the Governor vetoed SB 906, which would have deceptively aided homosexual 'marriage' legalization on a future ballot, that's a drop in the bucket compared to the great damage he's inflicted upon marriage, the California Constitution, and the voters by refusing to appeal the judicial-activist ruling that struck down Prop. 8," Thomasson said. "For the swan song of Arnold Schwarzenegger, he's singing tunes loved by anti-family liberals in San Francisco and West Hollywood but has daggers in his eyes for the moral hearts of parents and grandparents. By signing radical laws that take children down a dark path, Schwarzenegger has again proven that a liberal Republican is ultimately not much different from a liberal Democrat."
